Piezoelectric Drive clipped from Emerging From Stealth Mode livestream.

It may be possible I think we can approach the speed of light using Technologies such as the piezoelectric drive that I have listed on on the website that isn’t really interesting concept it’s still experimental but a man named James Woodward is working on bringing it to reality and it was a there was a guy at the at the Navy research lab who you know kind of chimed in and said you know well I think there’s a 1/10 chance and a 1/100,000 chance that you know this thing could work so basically what he’s saying is there’s a 1 in 10 chance and if it’s a 10% chance that it could work I want to explore that so um you know we definitely want to work with James try to figure out you know how we can help him bring this thing to fruition I know that NASA’s already working with him um and the way the way that it works just you know because I know you guys probably aren’t going and Googling this right now uh so it’s a piezoelectric is a material that changes shape when you apply an electrical current to it and so we’ve got Einstein’s equation equals m c squared okay so if you apply an electrical current to this thing causes a change in mass which creates energy so that’s that’s the that’s the idea behind it is you know you apply the electricity to it it changes the mass of it and if you can get it to like oscillate at the right frequency it can actually generate thrust and that’s what James is working on right now is figuring out you know how to you know dial this thing in and get it to work but if it does work you can approach the speed of light so of course it’s not an FTL drive but if you power it with uh a small nuclear reactor, a small module reactor, or a you know a fusion reactor when those are available I imagine that’s coming everybody’s working on that right now.
