Was Israel Adesanya “playing possum” to trap Alex Pereira or genuinely hurt? 🧐 UFC287 Breakdown

The narrative coming out of #UFC287 was that Israel Adesanya was “playing possum” & wasn’t hurt, so he could draw Alex forwards and into the trap on the fenceline. However, upon examination – I feel the answer is different to what’s been widely purported across both social media & the MMA community alike. So in chronological order, I’ve broken down Poatan’s attacks & how they contextualise why Izzy could possibly have felt forced to take the finishing stance he did. Adesanya set up the finish excellently at the end, however he had been incrementally debilitated which some may argue “forced his hand”. Let’s break it down 🧠
